Teddeeh
Hi guys regarding the acapulco gold, instead of a gain knob, how do i make a switchable gain? So one side is on full the other side down by 3/4 or a half??

Use a dpdt and connect gain 1 to pin 2 and gain 2&3 to pin 5 then put a resistor between pin 1-4 and 3-6. It should work fine

Thanks for the reply but if the schematic is
The gain knob is located at the input on the modded one. So my initial though would be that between the input on the board on the unmodded original there should be a resistor between the jack inout and the input on the board. But i am unsure of the sound and wanted to double check.

Input goes to pin 2 of the DPDT switch, pin 5 to the bottom row (gain 2), and 2 different resistors at pin 1 & 4, and pin 3 & 6. For full gain you'll use a jumper.

Since note, what's posted are layouts not schematics.

Thank you man, just a good confirmation. i guessed it was that but i wasent sure as it looks like gain 1 on the layout went to ground so i wasent sure if there was some grounding needed.

Gain 1 goes to ground because what the gain pot controls your input into the circuit by diverting some of the signal to ground. No different then the typical volume control.
