Anyone build a thunderbird and use it with an overdrive?

How does it sound?  How does the thunderbird respond to a boost or od in front of it?

Can't speak for the Thunderbird, but the Britannia handles boosts pretty well. Some tend to get a little noisy.

Mine sounds good with boost or od in front of it, but there's a bit too much hiss for my liking. That might be my build, though.

Careful use of a noise gate after the Thunderbird might do the trick (or just never stopping playing).
