Axial aluminum cap polarity direction

defyitall
Hey, this is probably a stupid question but I'm not sure how the layout graphics represent the polarity on axial aluminum capacitors.

Does the little mark on one end in the layout refer to the indent ring on the cap or does it refer to the negative end of the cap?

Like the two on the left of this layout:

Thanks so much for any help!

The little mark on those caps is a "minus" sign indicating the furthest left cap has the negative leg pointing downwards, and the next cap has the negative leg connected upwards to the Q1 transistor's base

Thanks!
I think I was overthinking it.
