BYOC El Distorto Segundo / MXR Distortion II

here is alayout of BYOC's take on MXR Distortion 2. The power section has been reworked for normal power supply and noise has been reduced. Also a clipping switch has been added. It's known for being a circuit with big low end that easily turns into muddiness especially with humbuckers so I added a "Lows" control wired as a variable resistor. With this pot you can dial in how much low end you want but still have the Resonance pot dimed.

Hi , if I were to get a premade BYOC El Distorto Segundo pedal, would I be able to put the lows control mod on it? Does it change the frequency response of the lows or just the amount of low? Is it just replacing a resistor with a pot, or more complicated? Could you tell me how to do that? I am not good at reading schematics, but I can do the soldering work if I know what to do, what part #s to take out / add / replace. Thanks!
