Beginner - Placeing Pot

Im a beginner to building pedals and have a lot to learn. So here we go.....

I have the board all ready to go and most of the cabling connected only to realize that I have no idea where to put the pot in the circuit. Im building the JHS Mini Bomb Boost clone and it tells me where to connect the leads of the pot to, but not how concerning in which order (like from input jack to pot to input lug on footstwitch,  or in another order). Any help would be appreciated.

Most of your offboard wiring will follow this

So in your case...the input wire from the input jack tip will go to lug 9 on the switch and the board input will go from lug 5 to Boost 3
