Chasm reverb Q's!

Greetings!
     I'm going to build the chasm reverb and am wondering what a good replacement for the 2n5457's are. I have mpf102 j201 2sk170gr and bl. Also, I'm assuming that these are for the buffer? Am I correct. This is a buffered bypass pedlal? Thanks everyone...
