I built a DBA Octave Clang from the tagboard vero layout. Very cool sounding pedal, although I am having a bit of noise issue at the more extreme range and was wondering if anyone had some advice how to remedy this if I rebuild more of them to play around with. With the density up about 80% and above with the gain maxed there is a brief hiss like sound that occurs with the note, sometimes it is residual for a little bit after the note decays. Is this from the diodes used not being the best choice? I used some random Ge diodes that I don't remember the spec of.
Basically I'm wondering where to start trouble shooting noise.
