DOD FX33 Buzz Box

Alex
I add this one here cause the schematic is not verified (will move it eventually)
Came out quite large.
Hope it works!

Am so going to have to build this. Just clocked a video on YT and it sounds like a fun beast. Thanks Alex.

Built it, works - but there are number of issues with the unverified schematic. For example, the stray bypass path buffer transistor is in the sgnal path. And there are tons of values wrong.

I took the liberty of snipping the factory schematic to suit true bypass. This should yield smaller layout and higher success rate.

They used a Grunge (pre tonestack) for the distortion half of this.  If you ever want to lay out the Metal Zone, or  any of the 5 or so DOD  pedals  derived from the Grunge, most of your work is done.

Hi Miro.
Did you try to sub the new values and eliminate the extra transistor?
There are also a couple of reversed Elec. Caps compared to the other schematic.

Tried bypassing the extra transistor stage. Got it to sound somewhat closer, but not completely right. Need to go through it at least once more before saying anything more.

Ok i Built this one, completely forgetting about the comments, and mine is only just slightly different from the videos. It feels like it just needs a tiny tweek. Could the JFET voltage at the drain be playing a role? Mine measures 4.11v.

EDIT: Its sounds really really good though.
