EQD Tentacle issue

I'm having a bit of trouble with my EQD Tentacle clone (http://tagboardeffects.blogspot.co.uk/2016/11/earthquaker-devices-tentacle.html) and as an beginner, I've run out of ideas on my own. Im getting sound when bypassed but nothing from the board.

I did an audio probe test and it seems to be fine everywhere except the legs of D1 and D2 with the black stripe and the middle pin of Q3. These all seem to be on the same rail but unfortunelty as a novice, I don't really know what that means. The two bigger resistors are kinda deceiving but the legs are going to the correct holes, they're just pretty big so i had to bend the legs in a bit

I'm not sure how to test the transistor voltages as everything I read online seems incredibly complicated so any advice on that would be massively appreciated too. I've build a few pedals before but I have no knowledge of electronics so I'm kinda just working it out as I go.
