Have just verified it, works great. Reverse wires 1  and 3 on Depth pot, and everything is ok.

Javi, nice box! Is that a decal? is it transparent or white? Hard to tell from the picture...

Thanks :) The box is black,  and the waterslide decal is white. To use a clear one, the boz should have been white.

I built the sabro one too. the dwell pot circuit was incorrect in the layout too and didn't work properly, but I've since fixed that. BTW, it sounds great.

Which changes  did you make John? I find the dwell control subtle, but not more than in the demos.

Thanks John, was going to try it and now my effect doesn't work :P Don't know what I've done but I get only clean signal. I get wet signal on IC1- 9 but gets not mixed with the clean one on pin 14.... Let's hope the brick is not broken.....

All OK, John, thanks again :) My PT2399 was failing, so droped a new one (my last one, by the way, let's hope the  order of 50 units gets here soon) and it's working again fine.

You're once again right, the Dwell control is something a "litte" more than subtle :P Nice correction as usual.

Built this one a while ago, and the only reason its not on my board is it sits a little below unity gain.  Is there anything I can adjust to increase volume?

raise the resistor from output to ground. this will lower the amount of signal that gets dumped to ground before the output.

I've raised the 10k (on the top right) and works too...but not over 15-18k!

So what's the difference between raising R5 (>10k) and lowering R18 (<100k) ?

Wouldn't changing R5 or R6 affect the balance of the sound?

(I too have a volume problem, and I'm trying to understand how it works. For now I changed R6 to 4k7 to get unity gain)

Re: Earthquaker Ghost Echo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So for now R5 at 17k works. Haven't tried lowering R18.

I'm thinking that in order to reduce the minimum delay time, it'd be possible to replace R19 (1K, in series with the attack pot) with a smaller value (100r) and add a latch up protection like on the Little Angel chorus circuit : http://jmkpcbs.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Little-Angel.pdf

Haven't tried it yet, but it should work.

Also thinking about a tone control, and I'm wondering if the tone control from the Tenebrion/Box of Hall could work.

If anyone has an idea about it I'm very interested! :)

Re: Earthquaker Ghost Echo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I confirm that the tone control from the Tenebrion works!

I changed the Depth pot for a 25kb (like on the Tenebrion), and added the 10k resistor and pot (with a 47n cap to ground) from pin 5 and 6 of the btdr-2 to Depth lug 3.

I had to again raise R5 to get to unity gain (could be nice to have an external volume pot but I don't have much room left in my 125b!)

I don't need a smaller minimum delay time for now, so haven't tried the latch up protection circuit.

It looks like this vero has been verified.. is that right?

I'd love to use this as a basis for an octave-up/analog shimmer reverb. I love the sounds the Ghost Echo is capable of.... awesome reverb.

Hi

I didn't actually use this vero, I bought a PCB for it (http://shop.pedalparts.co.uk/Spectre_Verb_PCB/p847124_13700953.aspx)

Had to change a couple resistor values, and that was it! (and I modded it a bit)

can +1 with boba on the spectreverb (ghost clone) from fuzzdog being good for the dwell mod, etc.
the changes recommended are described in the instruction pdf along with the schematic.

http://pedalparts.co.uk/docs/SpectreVerb.pdf

they are excellent pcbs and very cheap. i've seen successful build reports for the vero (at fsb if not here, sabro has a verified one too). but when i saw the spectre for £5 or whatever it was an easy decision not to go vero.
