I hate that bait and switch crap on eBay. One time I bought some resistors and in the title it said "bag of 100 resistors" or something like that, then in the description, hidden in the middle of a long paragraph that nobody reads, it says you're only getting 5. So I paid like $15 for 5 resistors from some asshole

If that's not a violation it should be. I'd be willing to bet you'll see a storm of negative feedback coming their way

Life's full of bait and switch crap. You start to expect it at every opportunity. You wish to be pleasantly surprised but you know you probably won't. There are just too many assholes out to make a short term quick buck.

I actually just received a bunch of resistors from ebay but it was all non common values.

I still get a fair amount from eBay but you have to read the descriptions carefully. It's hard to return a package to China.
