Well, the main boards are almost identical, the only real difference between the two is the PT80 is using non-polars for all the 1u caps, uses a 2n5089 rather than a 2n5088 and was being powered 12vs.
The two Vbais resistors were different values, but that shouldn't matter.
Everything else in the main circuit is identical up to the delay ICs.
I wonder if the 2n5089 is necessary when using a PT2399? Can you try a 2n5089?
