Glou-Glou's "Rendezvous"... A full-option, all-analog filter and phaser, with a pile of modulation controls: envelope phaser, auto-filter, pseudo ring-mod"

Every now and then I can be found browsing the internet, my guitar effects- enzymes hungry and searching for satiation... today they became engorged with desire and my "i'd kill to have this" meter went through the roof.

This week's Tone Report magazine featured Glou-Glou's new (and apparently only) stompbox, the Rendezvous:

I don't know if i'm just in a particular and unqualifiable mood today, or if this really is as great as it seems to me, but I really would love to get my hands on one of these. They're releasing sound clips soon.. super eager to begin to justify dropping the whopping amount of cash Glou-Glou is asking for one of these. (650€, which is about 715 USD).. yikers, I know.

I just thought I would share this with you all.. what do you guys think? Way too expensive?

it reminds me a bit of the Chase Bliss phaser/Wombtone, and they're envelope-shaping section.. being able to continuously-adjust the sharpness or flatness of distinct parts of the envelope shape and such. The Chase Bliss circuit can do things that this can't, but the Rendezvous goes well beyond the sonic territory that the Wombtone does. That said, with the Wombtone coming in around 250 for a used unit, I could buy the Wombtone, Gravitas, AND Warped Vinyl. lol.
