Thanks! Looks good, though I'll have to source an B-C-E transistor to build it. I suppose with some slight mods, it could be converted to C-B-E.

Sweet! I'll see if I can get this built this weekend. I'll probably use a 2N3904 for the NPN transistor and an LF353 dual op amp.
Here's youtube video with a demo of this circuit (the blue box on the left)...sounds pretty good to me!

Here's the real thing. VR1 is the "pre-gain" control for when the "boost" mode is activated. VR2 is the output volume. This is similar to the Hao Rust Driver - except with an added boost stage.
