Hudson Broadcast Problem

Getomonk
Hi everyone,

I've built at Hudson Broadcast from layout 2 (without the chargepump) and I have run into problems.

The bypass works and I have sound coming through the pedal, but the output is very low. Both the gain switch and gain trim work. I can't really tell if the low cut works. This may be related to the low output.

So far I have scored the board and gone through all the component placements. I've found two mistakes the  bottom 10u cap is off by one column, but I can't really see that that should make any difference. Also I was stupid enough to cut the 9 volt power row in order to fit the transformer, but thats been repaired.

Transistor Voltages are as follows:

BC549C

        * C 6.97
        * B 2.54
        * E 2.49

AC126

        * C 0.68
        * B 2.25
        * E 7.13

What am I missing? I would appreciate any help I can get at this point!

Here's the schematic

I'm no expert but i'd say that your voltage on the BC549 emitter looks a little high (too close to the base voltage) if it is supposed to be  working as a linear amplifier

I'd go through with an audio probe and try to isolate where your issue comes from

Thanks

I went through the board again checking for continuity and found two cuts that hadn't been done properly.

Now everything works and sounds good. But the output is still considerably lower than I would expect.

Any other suggestions?
