IC pin orientation

Hello fellow builders.

very new to building my own pedals , i have a quick Q. regarding IC placement.

I'm looking at building this  http://tagboardeffects.blogspot.com.au/2011/01/krank-distortus-maximus.html

But i was wondering which way the IC sits.

Does the little dot on the IC face to the bottom right or the top left?
or how can i know which way they should go in other vero layouts?

any help would be great.

The dot will always be the top of the IC on Mark's layouts, the symbol has a little cut away at the top which some ICs have in place of the dot. Good luck with the build, that's a nice sounding circuit.
