Hello,
All the reviews I have seen list the ISP Decimator Pro Rack G as the best noise gate possible to purchase. The feature that seems to make it so useful is that it uses two channels linked together, so that the clean sound straight from the guitar is listened to, but the distorted sound from the preamp is acted upon (sort of like putting a noise gate after your preamp with a sidechain trigger linked to earlier in your pedal chain).
I do not have the schematics for this, but noticed that the one-channel pedal version has a layout on this blog. I was wondering how easy it would be to attach sidechain input functionality to this, so it could be triggered by a clean guitar sound. Would anyone have any ideas on how that could be achieved?
