Thanks for your reply, nocentelli. Yes, I basically wanted to have a vero version of Dirk's board as shown in the photo. Yes, I would pull the existing chip. Instead of running 8 wires, it looks he's he's just added a diving board with the two BBDs (a la Madbean's). I found this information here:

I wonder if this same board might work for the AD-9? It has one onboard trimmer, and biases in conjunction with a trimmer on the main board.
I might try to find an AD-9 layout somewhere to build and mess around with this so I don't go hacking up my vintage AD-9 just yet! Just doing the research atm.
