JFET DISTORTION

I found this scheme called "FET DISTORTION".
I enclose the youtube demo with the reference site and the schematic.

I thought of converting it on stripboard inserting 3 trimpots instead of 3 resistors to drain.
He says he was inspired by a pedal of some manufacturers, but will not reveal the real name, remaining in anonymity.

This looks similar to the Himmelstrutz Fetto, but is you compare the schematics, they are a quite different.  You could tack on a tone control like the Fetto at the end if desired, but the demo sounds awesome!   Definitely worth a build if you have some 2SK170 FETs.

I do not know what model is inspired by the circuit, but I ask you not to reveal the name if able to find out.

Just finished this one, using 2sk118 jfets, 100ka for gain, and a 500kb for volume.  Worked first go, sounds great and I'm looking forward to seeing what I can do with a tone stack.

I'd love to know what it's based off.  The switch adds a 470p to the circuit.. seems to work as a bit of a high gain channel or boost in practice.

Yeah, look, I dunno about the 2sk30.  The fellow at the shop looked up the ones listed and found jfets that had the same specs.

Looking at the schematics around, it looks like a p**** style thing.

Update the topic by placing a new layout based on the same scheme by changing the pinout of the transistor to use the J201.
This is to be verified but it should be no problem.
