JHS Dual Mode Mod

Does anyone know how to do the JHS Dual Mode Mod?
From looking at the few gut shots I could find, it looks like they're just wiring a trimmer to a 3pdt to swap between two pots. But I figured I'd see if anyone knew anything about it first.
