A Big Muff with tweaked values and some bells and whistles like a gate circuit and an extra clipping stage. This one is verified. It's worth socketing the germanium transistor to get the desired amount of gate, I settled with a leaky high gain AC127. Or you could probably adjust the gate by replace the 6,8k resistor with a pot.

Any body built this? This is a VERY interesting muff copy. The thread at fsb is a hell of a read as well.  It looks pretty dead on so I may give it a go

If you build this you might need to lower the 2.7k resistor connecting to emitter of Q4 to increase the output. The germanium diodes seems to drop the output level since it's just above unity with the volume pot maxed.

What range would you suggest? About 1k or even lower? I don't want to over saturate that transistor
