John K mentioned replacing the input and output caps in the 4 knob Keeley Compressor to make it more suitable for bass.

Thanks claudio.  While I may consider building the 4 knob and tweaking it for bass, according to Keeley, the Bass Comp is a completely different circuit so that's more interesting to me.
