Klon Issue

Good Morning. I built a Klon recently which seemed to run perfectly on the first test, but when gaining gain above 50%, a noise appears on the decay. The noise seems to be on a second layer of sound. Maybe it's in the mix between drive and clean sound from klon. Has anyone ever had a similar problem? I checked 4 times and found no solder bridges.

I had some problems with it too. The 'clean' part was fine I can remember. When the gain part was mixed into the signal, it started to sound crappy.

The problem in my build was a incorrect positioned part. Maybe a second pair of eyes can go over your build just to check? Could you upload a clear picture of the board front and back, preferably positioned as the layout?

Could maybe be a faulty pot too, but a few others looking at the build may help too.

I ended up building a new board. The strange thing is that the second board presented the same problem. In both, I tested several different TL072s. I changed pots, changed the switch. The only thing I replaced from layout was the Zener by 1/2W which is what I had on hand.
Finally, I decided to test with NE5532 and RC4558 and both worked perfectly.
Probably bought a lot of defective TLs.

I'm still curious to see if it's not Zener. I just bought a pair and I'll know soon enough. I do not think so, if I'm not mistaken, in the last ones I did I used 1 / 2W. It's weird being the TLs because probably the ones I have here were not all bought all at once. However, I really enjoyed the 5532 on the Klon.
