I've been recording stuff in Logic X, and the pedalboard isn't half bad. There's a virtual pedal in the pedalboard plugin called Grinder. It's a "lo fi metal" pedal according to Apple. It's different from a RAT (which Apple also has an emulation of, called "Grit"). It's beefier, and less fizzy. "Grinder" is thick and grindy but also creamy smooth. You can play chords with metal distortion but have total note clarity through the chord.
So, if you've ever used the Grinder virtual pedal in Logic... have you ever used a real-world pedal that gets a similar sound? If so what was it? I've searched all over the internet and I can't find any info on what real pedal Grinder is based on.
