MA157A...how?

ξεναγος νεκροπολης
can i put 2 diodes in it's place???

http://html.alldatasheet.com/html-pdf/14097/PANASONIC/MA157A/405/1/MA157A.html

and if yes, which diodes?

i found it in a schem and i want to avoid it cause we don't use these things and most of us don't have it.

thanks!

Ok, It's a "two switching diode in series, in one casing, surface mount package".

The schematic shows the two diodes in it's package - neat touch.

I can't see any reason why you could not ignore the package symbol, and just use two 1N4148 or similar, wired as shown on the schematic.

I think the MA157A was use to save space.

Yes it's just being used as an anti-parallel pair in the feedback loop, same as many pedals.  Just use two back to back silicon diodes
