MC33078p chip question

Heath
Hola, amigos,

I got a few MC33078p chips from Texas Instruments.  It's a dual op amp that is pin compatible with a lot of the more common chips I use (ie. tl072, etc).  However, I've never heard of it before now.  Anyone know of a reason why this wouldn't be an acceptable pedal chip where stuff like tl072s are specified?

Here's the data sheet:  http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/mc33078.pdf

They look fine to me.  And I just bought 50 x MC33172 and the part number is close so they must be ok!

I opened myself up for that one ;P

At the moment all of my pedal stuff is boxed up (spring cleaning) and I was being lazy + wondering if it was particularly suited for something other than just a standard dual op-amp.  I'm trying to learn what all the data sheet stuff means but I'm mostly ignorant.
