Making the PAiA Gator respond faster to attack

Well, I guess this has been done several times but at least now I got something to work. I built the true bypass version of the Gator and it works! But to my taste the response to the pick attack isnt fast enough. Is there a way to make the attack response faster? I think this should be coupled with a gate too.
