Just boxed it up. With my Strat it sounds monstrous, so I can't wait to hear how it sounds with humbuckers.  Will try to get some clips recorded soonish.

Damnit! My build list is getting too long. I have a pile of 404's so now I MUST build one of these too!

Tracer, was adding the fuzz pot worth it to you?  How effective is the tone control?

Yeah, the added fuzz pot makes this worth it. I *was* going to build the original 2-knob layout, but after testing this I don't see a reason to: the fuzz control works awesome, and the filter control gives a nice range of tones. It's not a HUGE tone range, but enough to dial in a sound you like.

It's easily passed the Mark III as my favorite 'Bender variant build.

Looks awesome tracer. Npn trannies?

I think i want to try make a 4 knob version of this circuit. Will bread board thoroughly when i return home from my sth american travels.

Do you think an input cap blend to control bass would mess with the bias of q1?

Be cool to have controls for vol, fuzz, treble, bass

Russian GT404E, NPN Germs. Got 'em to try out in some 'bender circuits, and have some great gains, but they're pretty leaky. Perfect match for the Supa Fuzz, tho!

That I *don't* know. I was wondering how to (or if it was possible) to incorporate bass/treble controls to a 'Bender-style circuit, and I'm sure it's been done before - just don't know how it would affect the circuit.

An input cap blend will not affect bias but of course cutting any frequencies at the front end means there is a smaller signal to amplify ie less gain

So if the circuit was slightly gated at full bass, cutting bass at the input could result in more gating (which could sound like it’s affecting bias)

My Supa MKI is not gated and FWIW I have a DAM pedal that is MKI based which I believe has an input blend so apparently David Main thinks it’s a good idea :)

Nice looking build tracer I would love to hear a clip of that. I will have to dig mine out and post a clip too so we can compare

Thanks! Got around to making a quick demo with guitar player friend in his home studio today. Recorded this with a stock Gretsch Streamliner through a Carvin V2 tube head. Unity was between 10-11 o'clock on volume, so I set it to noon and left it there. Turned it up once and it just got obscene (in a good way).

He's "keeping" the Supa Fuzz for more testing...

Hey Anders, I was looking at your layout for this on your blog and I only see 9 cuts, not 10. Is there a cut under the 12k on the right that's hidden or are there only 9? Thanks!
