Hi dudes, just to comment
This german eBay seller carried time ago some generic 2N1304, that were pure crap. Let's say: into specification, but all trannies were from 40 to 60 hfe, pretty useless.
Lately, he started to sell 2N1304 but from Texas Instruments brand and gold leads. I could see that the prices were getting really high, even 15 euros per lot (10 pieces). I supposed that they should be ok if people were payin' such amounts, so I tried and was lucky in a bid to get a lot for 4 euros.
Well, I've received them today, (together with some Sanyo 2SD168 that I ordered too), and holy shit, these are the best NPN germanium trannies that I've ever tried.
Of the ten pieces, two are 58hfe, two 82-89, and the other 6 from 105 to 142, with very low leakge. The 2SD186, are great too, from 83 to 130hfe but with higher leakage.
If you need germanium NPN's, try to get some of these 2N1304 from this seller, but get sure that they're Texas Instruments ones, no the generic / no brand ones. Will have to try on next week, but prices are getting really high.
