Multi pedal board, input buffer/ dry output patch

Not sure where to begin.

I am making a multi-efx board,  and part of the patching system would be a dry through channel.  Kind of like an AUX-out from the input of each pedal.  I was going to just hook up a parallel jack to the existing input jack,  but pondering got the best of me,  and thought it may benefit to have some sort of buffer or load balancing circuit to accommodate?  

Is anyone aware of any discussions here that would help me on this subject matter? Or what you would call this type of add-in?  so I can start searching myself?

Yes,  I do believe this is what I'm looking for.  I have a bunch of TL072s laying around.  So this would most likely be the choice- no sense in those little guys going to waste.  Is there any known preference compared to the original AMZ that I should consider.  Does look like the original has a bit more thought when it comes to balancing the circuit.  Perhaps the TL072 is better suited?  and doesn't need the extra caps and resistors?

From what ive seen-  the original AMZ may be the splitter of choice.

I could make 8 of these and stick them near the output jacks- shouldn't take that much room. (I have the extra space ):)

Honestly I lack the technical insight to judge which would be preferable - as I understand its just a JFET to TL072 conversion. Input cap is 100nF in both cases, one uses 10µF, the other 1µF as output caps. The resistors just bias the JFET and form a voltage divider to provide the correct supply for the JFET or TL072, respectively. So I wouldn't expect it a noticeable difference, but thats just from my limited understanding.
