And no problem AD.  It's good practice for me.  

Funny this came up...a bass player friend has recently found himself on guitar duties for another band and his Bass Muff just doesn't cut through so he asked me to build him something....then asked if I could show him the ropes on pedal building.  This particular circuit would make a great learning experience for him (how caps affect bass response e.g.)

So we will be building this week.  I'll report back when done.

Built this as a quicky today as have to run some chores later. What a great circuit. Been messing with all the various settings and i seem to like them all. The gain pot wires need to be reversed as my pot is working backwards at the moment. Thanks Ciaran.

About your gain pot, the schematic has it numbered like the layout but maybe ROG number the pot lugs differently from us.  Do you follow the numbering convention here? If so I'll swap the labels.
