Musket Fuzz for Stranglers 'Peaches'?

daithesaes
Hi all,

First post so go easy on me!

Been building pedals for a while and have had a request for a bass fuzz that'll get the tone on Peaches.

I was wondering if the Musket Fuzz would get there.  Whaddya  reckon?

If not this pedal then what do you think would nail it?

I believe it was achieved by a Hiwatt guitar stack with broken speaker cones. .....sounds pretty fuzzy and dirty to me but quite a fair amount of treble/articulation for a bass tone.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there and welcome!

I would say the Musket is probably too much for this sound. I would go for the Runoffgroove Ginger.

There are two different layouts here:

The amount of overdrive it produces is just about right, and the Baxandall tone stack can get JJ's treble grind perfectly.
