OC42 pinout leads diagram??

Can anyone tell me the pinout for my new germanium PNP OC42 transistors? They have a red dot on one side.I figure they are the same pinoit as my OC81-D's but I want to be 100% sure befor I use them.Thank you for your time if your reading this.

do a google search for the datasheet for the OC42, just type in "OC42 datasheet" and you should find it no problem. on the datasheet it will show you exactly what the pinout is, as well as things like gain, collector voltages, etc. btw, you can do that for any transistor, and it's super helpful. i do that for all the transistors i use, even though i check pinouts with my DCA55 now.

I did a google search but all that would come up was OC139 for some odd reason.i found a little info on OC75 and OC44 but nothing on the OC42.I think my internet is on the fritz where im at.I live in crapy area for internet.

that's odd. i typed it into google as "OC42 datasheet" just like that and i got this.

i was able to find this site that has info about a bunch of transistors, and in the list they tell you the case, which is stated to be a T01. i then looked up t01 pinout and found this



it's not your internet, it just takes a bit more searching sometimes then others. this took more time cause there is no PDF of this datasheet, and you had to find another way to get the info.

the nice thing about most transistors is that usually if they are in a certain case/package then you know what it will be, since all transistors that are in that package have the same orientation. it's sorta standardized.

good luck with the pedal this is going into. hope it turns out as you hope.
