Hello guys, I've built an octavia for a friend, and it sounds absolutely killer, that one

But a problem occured. When placed in a chain it does funny things when combined with modulation pedals.
Echoplex delay after the octavia slightly drops the volume, small stone after the octacia greatly boosts volume, some vibrato (not sure which one he has) also drops volume etc.
At first I thought it would be a supply problem, he tested it with dedicated supply and the same thing happens. I'm all out of ideas here and he is in a different city, I'll have him mail it back to me probably.
Before that happens, can anyone think of what can be going wrong? I never heard of something like that happening before.
