Pharaoh Clipping switch on an LSTR

squirrels
Can anyone help me add a Pharaoh style clipping switch on an LSTR? My assumption is to remove D3 and D4 and add the switch between the base of Q3 and ground? I prefer the overall tone of the LSTR over the Pharaoh but I like the Pharaoh's added versatility. Any help would be much appreciated.

Switch wouldn't go to ground, the diodes in a Muff are in the feedback loops of the second and third transistors. You'd want to disconnect the diodes that are there and put the two middle lugs of each pole of a DPDT in two of the remaining holes.

Great. I'll be doing just that then. I'm going to add the impedance as well and see what that can do for the LSTR.

On an unrelated note, I just made the Dwarfcraft Shiva using your layout, very nice.

The clipping switch worked great. It sounds nice with the germaniums. I also added the impedance switch for a little more variety. I preferred the overall vibe from the LSTR but really liked the switching of the Pharaoh, so I think I got what I wanted now. Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.
