Posting an early Christmas present

Chris60601
Hey everyone,

Pardon the excitement but I wanted to share this for 2 reasons.
1. because I'm just excited to finally have one of these!!
2. It's a good price at Menard's till 12/6 - 59.00 !!

Yeah, 220, 221. Whatever it takes.

Nice score bud. Enjoy!
I plan on hitting Menards Black Friday. It's a great place to score some great stuff while most are fighting over TV's at the stores. Every year I head there early then roll over to guitar center for a couple deals.
Enjoy the press and the Holliday.(I'm assuming you are in the States)
Give a man a match and he'll be warm for a day.
Set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

Agreed. I usually hit up harbor freight for the foot deals on cheap tools though, and then guitar center or Sam ash. But this year I'm planing on more tools. Got to get the workspace where I need if.

That's awesome.  I still use my trusty Mongomery Ward cast iron drill press (circa 1950), but it would be nice to have something that's more height adjustable.

Make sure to get the unibit for drilling your aluminum enclosures.

Nice, yeah a drill press is such a boon when making pedals and is useful for a looooot of other applications as well. Seconded on the unibit, those things are the best invention ever

Agreed. That's all I use to drill my enclosures. Btw, anyone need any? I can get a set of 3 for like $8USD tomorrow during my Black Friday shopping spree. Let me know ASAP and I'll pick them up.

A set of 3... for 8.00?!?! Are they the Irwin bits?
Oh heck yeah, if they are - I'll gladly take a set, Rocket!
I have just the one Irwin bit that I too use for nothing but the builds, but for 8.00 - can't hurt to have some spares!

Cheers

No not Irwin, they're some off name brand. I use then all the time, and no issues. Plus, I mean really if they die I'm out $8 which is nothing really. They're 3 different sizes.

I'll grab you a set. Maybe a few other in case anyone else wants, of not I'll have spares. Lol

I think those are the exact same ones I have. I wouldn't worry about them, they've held up fine thus far. The coating (titanium nitride I'm assuming) has worn off a bit on some but they're otherwise fine.

thanks buddy. I saw and I'm going to grab it as soon as my computer is up and running again, unfortunately I'm still working on getting everything in and organized from the move.

Btw, I have 2 or 3 extra sets of those bits if anyone needs/wants, but they were much more then I thought......each one cost me $9USD instead of $8USD each. It really broke the bank, so not sure if those who were going want them would still be interested.
