Power supply

I was wondering how do you make a power supply when converting a tube amp schematic to transistors. I have been looking at a lot of layouts and some just have 9 volts and one electrolytic cap. Some have a couple of caps and resistors. I'm just trying to understand how to come up with a power supply thanks.

Hi my friend,

I really don't understand why do you convert a tube amp schematics into transistor one,
having in mind that firstly the sound of the amp is way too different on the end?

You have good schematics on the net for transistor amps and they are easy to assemble.
For sure you'll need a good quality trafo and also good quality condensers and all of this
depends from the power of the amp- the sound too will depend on this.

If you can post a picture from the schematic that you consider building so that we can analyze it and give advises and thoughts.

Cheers
