Question for the Muff aficionados out there

Sensei Tim
So i had someone ask me  about making a civil war muff "less muddy" and "less dark" sounding (i.e bass cut)

So i pulled up the layout here

and then head on over to kitrae to look at the circuit analysis

Is it better to drop the 100n input cap to something like 47n to filter out more of the bass, or better to increase C6 and/or c7 from 47n to something like 100n?

Well, usually the less muddy bassy Muff variants use 100n for C1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and C13.

If I wanted to make it switchable which cap would give the most bang for the buck?

The only switch I've tried has been the Skreddy mids switch, which makes a world of difference between disappearing in a mix or just being there.

You could check the Kitrae schematics sections to see what all the various clones have done, as modded Muffs they're likely to have tried different values and even switches that might give you an idea.
