ROG Omega - no sound SOLVED

I'm getting no sound whatsoever. I've sliced and diced the grooves and checked all the gaps with the voltmeter.

I didn't have a 2n7000 for Q2 but read somewhere that a BS170 could replace it so used that.

Voltages:
Q1 G 0.00 S 0.83  D 4.71
Q2 D 9.36 G 6.22  S 8.73

Thanks in advance,

John

Hi John

BS170 has a different pinout than the 2N7000.  Try flipping it around.

Always check the data sheet when subbing transistors/ICs.  The graphic on the drawing won't necessarily be accurate when you're using different ones.  That's why all these layouts have the pins marked too...just in case.
