SCOD Overdrive | a new source

boratto
So, i´ve seen people who tried to build SCOD was a bit disappointed. I´ve found another source who points small changes. At first look it´s a 1M7 resistor instead 1M. But someone here can check if are there more, and maybe build/update a new vero version.

Here's the available schematic (from http://revolutiondeux.blogspot.com).  I suppose you can experiment but what exactly is everyone trying to achieve with the SCOD?

Here's the version of SCOD I would build.  (from this FSB thread)

The thing to realize is that the two BS170 mosfet gain stages are simply AMZ MOSFET boosts!  However, the 62K / 100K voltage divider may or may not provide the needed bias voltage for a given BS170.  This vero layout allows you to dial that in.

Note that the first boost stage is like an (inverting) AMZ boost that is wide open (gain up full), whereas the second stage is a non-inverting buffer which then drives the contour filter.  I have no idea how the CD4007 is used here, but it appears to be several mosfet gain stages.

More about the AMZ mosfet boost here.

Hope this helps!
