You can make it a few columns smaller by moving all the stuff from column J leftwards and decreasing the gaps between components. I've just left them that big to make it clearer. Also C4 with associated cut underneath can go to the other side of Q2, obviously then you run a wire from left side of the board to the volume pot. All should save you up about three rows of space. If you're not fussed just go ahead and build it, should be a comfortable fit everywhere or wait for Miro or Mark to come with their guru layout approach to make it compact :)

It´s perfect, just remove 1 column for the right and it´s has enough space and fits well in a 1590B, and i think there´s enough space for a voltage inverter.

I just remembered that I made a layout for this a while ago + a slightly modified version and one with a BMP tone-stack.
I have not built and verified any of them yet, but I might as well post them in case someone wants to give it a go. I will be building these soon as well...

The v.2 of the Germanium layout has some strange pot values, so I wrote down some resistors that you can add to the pot in order to get the values correct. Be aware that this also has an effect on the taper response.
Personally I will try the closest value and see If that works out instead of the odd values.

First a my compact version of the one above:

A modified version:

And the silicon version with BMP tone-stack:

Did anyone build one of these already, which one did you prefer? One of my earlier builds was the gig modded FY-2. I want to build a FY-2 again
