Spam invading the forum and lack of activity…

Neil mcNasty
So what is the future of this site?
Are there any moderators here anymore?
Have people migrated elsewhere?
If so: it is a shame that the largest collection of verified vero layouts ends up being abanoned and potentially sliding down the memory hole…

Now the forum is being spammed my mushroom sellers, indicating security breach or lack of moderation.
This is not a good sign and has dire effects on the traffic (people might eventually leave and do not return if such things repeat or remain)

I bet you that if you take all the layouts and put them on a new website with some bling and buzzwords added, it will become a highly popular site…
Which is not a bad idea if there are more serious reasons for the low activity (sad things do happen…)

Anyways… I am saddened by the collapse in activity, and hope that everybody is ok, wherever they are….

Know that you are highly appreciated and that your immense efforts and contributions reaches further than you might imagine.
You have been teachers of proportions beyond anything you find in any classroom!
The patience and friendship that has been present, has made this a wonderfull arena for learning!
That is important to know! Many of us would not get to where we are without your help!

Hi mate

No the site is still moderated, as is the main blog site.  I was just out watching a Freddie Mercury tribute act last night in my local and was too drunk to check it

Unfortunately Nabble doesn't let you preview new members messages before they go live and so we will get spammers from time to time.  But I will nuke them as soon as I see them, as happened to Mr Mushroom.

The forum and blog will be here forever.  I'm not very active any more although I'm still interested in guitar electronics but I'm probably more into building actual guitars now than effects, and the layout spurt we had several years ago means there aren't that many targets for us to do layouts for any more.  I and other moderators here will still do them though from time to time when something new gets reverse engineered.   But even though I'm not posting very often there are enough people on here who do still use it as a base of discussion, and long may it continue.

Great!
I bet the hangover was worth it!
First time I’ve seen such spam on the site, so I was a bit befuddled…

Glad to know that you are active building Guitars!
The library pretty much covers it all by now, so it is actually natural that the activity has dropped of a bit, when I think about it…. Not much more than Digital stuff and YATS out there at the moment.
Funny how it all looks when you discover the ”secret” of guitar circuits

Been doodling around with a Modular Synth inspired LFO/Modulation FX unit based around the TapLFO ic’s lately. It will become a psychedelic pulse beast when completed.
Everything patchable: seperated envelopes, lfo’s, filters and modulation fx’s, dual tap tempo, 16 step CV sequencer, stereo panning mixer and more…
All built in oversized chassie boxes, with BIG knobs for maximum Live Performance Control in the studio (enough of the tiny knob fiddeling and crammed enclosures)
I’ll post the results and layouts here was the project falls in line… just a few parts missing, and a few breadboard tests to do, before starting the build.

Until then…
Cheers!

That sounds great and yes it's clear how advanced you've become putting together something like that.  I'll be interested seeing your end results, and a vid would be great to show what it can do.

Cheers
