Sunn Model T/ Laney Super Group tonestack issue/question

Blackboarcult
Hi all,

I have recently built both the Sunn Model T and the Laney Super Group from the main website, both with jumpered channels instead of switch, and on different boards w/different components.

While the gain & volume pots, biased trimmers and output are fully working and sounding as they should, I have encountered the same issue on both tonestacks: when maxing the Treble pot, it cuts bass and low mids frequencies as if the Bass knob was being turned down at the same time.
This also happens to a lesser extent with the Mid pot, but it is much less noticeable. There's also a significant volume drop when the Treble is fully clockwise.

So, has anyone stumbled upon the same issue? Is it expected behaviour for those tonestacks?

I have checked for hidden bridges, leaks to ground, etc. With no success, and I find it kinda weird that this has happened to both builds.

On the other hand, the Bass knob on the Sunn offers zero variation over its sweep except for a tiny 5% before fully counterclockwise, where it seems to boost a little bit the low frequencies. Although I am suspecting a bad pot, since I bought a batch of them awfully cheap at dsmcz. I don't have any other brand to compare to til I place my next order on tayda...

It is worth noting that I'm running both builds 18V and have biased the Jfets accordingly.

Any help would be really appreciated, thanks in advance!!!
