I finished building a Swollen Pickle and used four 2N3904s to hold me over until I can pick up an MPQ3904. The pedal sounds off to me, especially when the sustain pot is anything below full on. I remember reading something that despite the MPQ3904 being four BJTs in an IC, they were actually lower gain than a standard 2N3904. I built one using the MPQ awhile back but it didn’t play well with my Orange so I really can’t make a comparison myself. Does anyone have any experience with this pedal? Thanks.
