I use V2 of DIYLC which you can get from here:
http://diy-fever.com/software/diylc/
A clean install won't include the library of components that I use though, but if you search the forum posts you should find a link to it which you can use if you want.

Re: Tagboards

U can't download v2 anymore/ Multi-platform Java version. At this point, I would NOT encourage anyone to download or use 2.x beta because it’s just too buggy and slow compared to 3.x. Once I add all the components into 3.x, version 2.x will be officially retired. so I guess I'm out of luck I should have downloaded it along time ago. I tried v3 but I don't like it I'm using v1. But v1 don't have tagboards in it v3 has tag boards but they look weird I like the looks of yours they look like the real thing.

Just use the blank board and add turrets. Double click either to change colors, diameter of turrets, etc

V2 is buggy, but you get used to the foibles and I still prefer it to V3 even if it isn't quite as complete.

There you go if you want to try it.  You'll need the Java Runtime Environment installing as well

Re: Tagboards

motterpaul
I know V2 is supposed to be better, but I couldn't get it to work either. (I never found a way to load the CSS with all of IVIark's component changes) I think a lot of us found ways to make V3 usable, you just have to change the properties of each component to look more the way you want them to look, and remember to save those properties as component "templates".

Then save the whole circuit project where you made and saved all of those component properties as another template for future circuits.

1) save properties of each component as "template" for that component

2) save that "circuit" as a template file for future circuit projects
