Throbak Strange Master - PNP - Switch Noise

I built the the Throbak Strange Master with PNP trannies, and it sounds great!  But I'm getting the dreaded 3PDT switch "POP".  I added 1M pulldown resistors on the switch (input>ground and output>ground), but this solution did not work.  I also removed the LED, in case that was the cause...nope.

Anyone have another suggestions?  I know the Rangemasters (and clones) are notorious for the switch popping, but I'd like to figure this one out.
