Has anybody reverse engineered this one?  the reviews make it sound fantastic!

Not that I know of, but after reading about it it's not that different from a normal Rangemaster. There's a few differences, and can be easily added to/changed from the normal Rangemaster layout.
1 - there's a bias control
2 - there's a switch to change between Ge and Si transistors
3 - there's a switch To change it from a treble boost to a full boost (beano mod)
