Aldi  in the UK are selling toaster ovens for £20 now if anyone is interested.

Thanks for letting us know Beaker! What kind of toaster oven is it? I can't seem to find it online. And what is the lowest temperature it can heat? I've been looking at those cheap roster ovens on eBay that also sell for about £20 and it seems the lowest they can operate in is 100°C which, according to some, can cause problems with curing paint. I've been using a 100W heat lamp for terrariums to cure my pedals but a toaster oven would probably be a much better solution.

I think they have had them in for a few weeks now, and are blowing them out at £20 (I think they were originally £28 or £30), so that's why you can't find them on the website.

There is no temperature control on this one - It's 100 degrees with the bottom element on, and 230 degrees with them all on! I will only be using it on minimum, and probably with the door open too.

I'm one of the guys who has voiced concerns about them being possibly too hot, so now I can get to see if I was wrong or right!

Those infra red heat lamps are absolutely ideal though. Car paint shops use them for small area repair work, so if you have one of those, and you get on ok using it, stick with it. I honestly don't think a toaster oven would be significantly better.

EDIT: nick one of the wife's metal cake tins, and line it with baking foil. With the lamp over the top, it would make an awesome pedal baker, the foil would reflect and maximise the heat.

Yes, that's what I'm pretty much doing. I have a box lined with foil and dry my pedals there. Gets nice and warm :) This guys seems to have figured out a cool way to cure pedals with light.
