Tonegod - Christine

notnews
Hey all

I've noticed a few people using CMOS 4049's to build wild fuzzes.. Dwarfcraft, Parasitstudio. Here is Tonegod's Christine - it's a very cool wacky fuzz. Someone posted about it on the forum here and I thought TBE would benefit from having this circuit in it's library:

It seems simple enough to make into a stripboard layout.. and potentially something easy to mod. Anyone willing to take a stab at this?

Re: Tonegod - Christine

That seemed like a schematic I could vero at first, but I got a little confused.

Ok so, 2 sides of the tl072 are numbered "1,2,5" for each opamp.
Also, 6 parts of the 4049 numbered "3,2"
Voltage and ground for the opamp is not given, we all know where they connect though.

What troubles me is the "NC". As far as I know this is "not connected" right? 4049 has two "NC" pins, but I don't see what good it would be to connect something there, and in the schematic there are 3 connections to "NC"

Anyone care to explain would be nice!

That numbering looks a bit dodgy.
Later they removed the buffers.
You can find the correct schematic here:

Freppo did a layout on his website a while back. It may help you with yours:
