Ugly Face IC question

I'm planning to build a Tim escobedo ugly face. It calls for an ICM755 ic. Could I use an NE555? The 7555 is tough to source. Thanks.

Data sheet says it is a direct replacement in most applications.

I've seen it with the NE555..  should be good :)

Says here it has to be CMOS type (such as the Intersil ICM7555 and Texas Instruments LMC555, TLC555, TLC551)

WIKI list of 555 types and whether they're cmos or bipolar
It may work, but if not try one of these. Let us know
